Suspicious recommends may be excluded silently — rankings stay trustworthy.
Members always see recommend saved — moderation happens behind the scenes.
Fork & Flag uses automated heuristics and human review to detect coordinated recommending, new-account bursts, IP clusters, competitor targeting via visit-not-recommended patterns, and legacy review spam. Excluded recommends receive zero weight in ranking recalculation but are not surfaced as errors to members.
Repeated abuse may limit account status, remove leaderboard visibility, or ban participation. Appeals go through the contact form with your verified account email.
Restaurant owners cannot pay to remove negative community signal. Sponsorship and advertising never influence organic rank position.
