Editorial policy

How Fork & Flag decides what belongs in the guide.

A restaurant is listed when it materially represents a cuisine or cultural food tradition — through branding, menu focus, chef story, community recognition, or editorial verification. One dish is not enough.

Editors maintain cuisine pages, approve submissions, and seed lists while member votes build trusted rankings. We do not require ownership by a specific nationality; authenticity is shown through evidence and community signal, not gatekeeping.

Corrections and disputes are reviewed with an audit trail. Sponsored placements and paid profiles are always labelled and never mixed into organic rankings.
