Family-run Polish-European cafe and cake shop on Koornang Road, opened in 2012 when baker Ryszard Janczewski moved from his long-running Europa Cakeshop on Acland Street, St Kilda. The compact dining room serves preservative-free house cakes, breads and bagels plus sit-down Polish meals (pierogi, borscht, goulash and more), with vegetarian and gluten-free options and a fully licensed bar. Kraków-style cheesecake (sernik krakowski) with lattice pastry was filmed for SBS Food Safari with Maeve O'Meara; the recipe is credited to Janczewski on SBS Food.
