Long-running Nepalese dining room on Sydney Road — part of Chandra Yonzon’s Gurkhas Brasserie group (Melbourne since 1995 on Chapel Street per Hamro Chautari). The Brunswick site at 414 Sydney Road traded as Gurkhas Nepalese Restaurant with momos, dal bhat platters and Himalayan curries; AGFG and the venue’s Menulog-linked microsite highlighted chiple bhendi, kukhra ma krim and kachila curry. The Brunswick microsite is explicitly marked inactive, MapQuest lists the listing closed, and gurkhas.com.au is an under-construction placeholder while a separate Parkville/Chinatown page still promotes the brand. As of May 2026 King TUT (Egyptian street food) operates at 414 Sydney Road per kingtut.com.au and Sydney Road traders — treat Gurkhas Brunswick as closed at this address; do not merge King TUT into this slug.
