About Us
Laffa Bar is a family-owned kosher charcoal grill on Hawthorn Road in Caulfield’s Jewish dining strip, opened as a takeaway shop in 2008 and expanded with a dine-in Charcoal Grill room in November 2013. The kitchen turns out Israeli and broader Middle Eastern plates — charcoal shawarma and shashlik, house-baked laffa bread, falafel, hummus, and tandoori-spiced grilled chicken — under Kosher Australia supervision, with a separate takeaway counter and a ~50-seat restaurant on the same site. Sunday–Thursday service covers takeaway from 11:30am and restaurant seating from 5pm; the venue also lists party platters, Shabbat and Yom Tov packages, and Friday-night dinners on its official site.
