About Us
Lala's Kitchen is the group's original Bentleigh flagship at Bayside Junction on Nepean Highway — a tucked-in dining room (signage toward the South Road side of the corner block) run by chef Ashvin "Lalabhai" Patel, whose family restaurant roots in Gujarat date to the 1980s. Weekday mornings run as a café for breakfast and lunch; from Tuesday night through Sunday the room shifts to casual dine-in curries, tandoor plates and extensive vegetarian options spanning Punjabi, Gujarati, Kathiyawadi, Rajasthani and South Indian lines. AGFG highlights weekend unlimited buffet dinners with a rotating menu; sister venues operate in Boronia and Clayton South under the same brand. BYO wine, function catering from $12 per head, and phone bookings for groups.
