About Us

Ross and Sunny Lusted's Portuguese-inspired restaurant on the ground floor of Melbourne Place (Hyde Melbourne Place) at 130 Russell Street—opened December 2024 as the couple's first Melbourne venue after Sydney's Woodcut and the former Bridge Room. A custom charcoal grill and wood oven anchor the open kitchen; hand-painted azulejo tiles, a glass Iberian wine room, and artworks by Lucy Roleff and Ben Mazey frame an L-shaped dining room with chef's table, main room and bar seating for about 90. The menu traces Portugal's coastal cuisines and colonial spice routes through Victorian produce—salgados such as salted Murray cod croquettes, sharing arroz de marisco, wood-roasted cockerel with African spices, pasteis de nata and house Marmelo ginjinha in a chocolate cup. Set formats include weekday Bife à Portuguesa ($45), two-course Preço Fixo ($65) and nightly five-course Descoberta ($155); bookings via SevenRooms. Adjacent Bar Marmelo (mornings and Iberian bar snacks) and basement Spanish bar Mr Mills operate in the same hotel. Wheelchair accessible.
