About Us

Thai Town QV is a ~200-seat, night-market-inspired Thai hawker hall on Level 2 of QV’s Artemis Lane, opened in late 2019 by Thai-born operators Suriya “Tee” Chantarungsarit and Duija “Kae” Sereemanakij (who run multiple Thai venues across Melbourne and Sydney). The fit-out — festoon lights, ’90s Thai advertising, Chiang Mai–style timber structures and a front mural — was largely shipped from Thailand to evoke Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai street markets. A cook-to-order dessert counter and mini grocer at the entrance sells salted egg cakes, instant noodles and durian crisps; inside, an open kitchen feeds a vast dining room with 98+ straightforward, non-fusion street-food dishes (chargrilled sausages, fried pork intestine skewers, tom yum, boat noodles, papaya salads and stir-fries). Singha and Chang beers, yadong and Thai-tea cocktails join three-litre beer towers; live music runs on peak nights and Broadsheet advises booking ahead for Friday performance seating. Popular with Thai students and expats for flavours “the same as back home.”
