About Us
The Happy Mexican is a casual Abbotsford taqueria on busy Hoddle Street, marked by a buttercup-yellow facade with sombreros and cacti. Colombian-born owner Julian Romero draws on years in Los Angeles and Mexico City to serve region-hopping Mexican street food in a cheerful 55-seat dining room with weathered timber tables, hanging piñatas and a mural-adorned side courtyard.
