Yemeni mandi specialist on Racecourse Road’s Little Somalia strip (owner Abdirahman Abdi, WA Today 2018), where fragrant basmati is steam-cooked under slow-roasted lamb, chicken, or beef in sealed cylindrical ovens when a pit tandoor isn’t practical. Shareable platters for two pile rice with salad, chilli, and yoghurt sauce; solo diners order lamb, chicken, braised shanks, or spicy suqaar. Meals start with complimentary lamb broth; no alcohol (halal). Upstairs majlis rooms seat about 25 on the floor for group feasts.
