On the corner of Elizabeth and Queensberry streets, The Last Jar is a long-running Irish gastro pub — black-and-red exterior, farmhouse dining room, confessional-style snug, upstairs beer garden and function room — serving house-made seasonal pub food with Irish roots. Head chef Jake Beazley (Northern Ireland) is known for beef and Guinness pie; the Autumn 2026 menu runs pub classics (fish and chips, parmas, spice bag, cottage pie, sticky toffee pudding) plus rotating weekly specials: Tuesday steak night, Wednesday Irish pie/spicebag, Thursday parma, Friday burger, Sunday roast. Guinness, Kilkenny and 12+ taps anchor the bar alongside an extensive Irish whisky list, cocktails and daily happy hour 4–7pm.
