About Us

Ballin' since 2012 on Flinders Lane, Melbourne's first dedicated artisan meatball bar — exposed brick, communal tables and a long copper bar in an industrial-chic room. Owner Matteo Bruno builds the menu from his mother's Venetian recipes and a Piedmont-inspired wine list: pick a gluten-free meatball (Angus beef, pork, chicken, lamb, fish or cauliflower-chickpea veggie balls), a sauce and a sotto palle base such as creamy polenta or peperonata. Beyond the build-your-own bowl, the menu runs salumi and cheese boards, sliders, mozzarella balls, seasonal salads, spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread, and desserts including the house Whoopie Mac ice-cream sandwich and tiramisu. Prosecco spritz and Aperol spritz lead the bar; grappa and digestivi finish. On Friday and Saturday nights the kitchen shifts to a late nibbles menu with sliders and charcuterie after roughly 10:30pm (What's On Melbourne).
