About Us

Tiba's is a family-run Lebanese institution on Sydney Road in Brunswick, opened in 1983 and still run by brothers Hassan, Salem and Mohamed with their mother Hoda. The black-and-gold cedar-tree storefront leads into a loud, bustling dining room with takeaway salads, charcoal spits and open-flame grills turning out house-made dips, pastries, shawarma and skewered meats. The menu spans dips and tabouli, $18 pita wraps, individual mains with rice and bread, and generous set menus such as Tiba's House and the Management Banquet. The restaurant is alcohol-free and 100% halal certified; phone reservations are recommended on busy nights. A second branch operates in Roxburgh Park.
