About Us

Coskun Uysal's one-hatted Turkish room on Carlisle Street — opened in 2016 after kitchens at Attica and Vue de Monde, now an institution reframing Anatolian cuisine for Melbourne. The 52-seat dining room (plus footpath tables) mixes exposed brick, turquoise Portuguese fish-scale tiles and Troupe Studio leather-and-marble details; staff narrate each plate's regional story. Share-style mezze and mains span su böreği with Victorian black truffle, sumac-cured lakerda, spatchcock and tray-baked lamb kebab, alongside structured Taste of Tulum seven-course degustation ($110 pp) and Sofra six-course sharing menu ($95 pp). At the rear, KISMET Mezze Bar runs a separate traditional Turkish tavern menu with white tablecloths and Saturday-lunch qanun music.
